TWFC - Story Beats

I found these while updating my portfolio. Below are a few unfinished Story Beats I did on my short stint for TWFC-2 (now TFOC). These where blue-sky concept beats to establish were we wanted to go in game. Done at the begining of the project, these beats were to be used as internal pitch material. These particular images were not used. I believe they were done a few days before I went over to lead the TF3 concept team. That was a crazy week. The other black and whites in my portfolio were done at this time as well.

cerenoth

Cerenoth are a draconic species from the world of Valtyr that I helped design about a million years ago. My friend (Chuck Yager) Valtyr's designer and property owner, wanted a print for his wall of awesome. I wasn't a fan of the million year old image I had done and wanted to update. Below are the prelims and the final layout I shall be finishing for Mr.Yager over my break.

Long Beach Comic Con 2011

Its been awhile since my last post. Apologies. I have been up to my eyeballs with work. I was able to venture out to the LBCC Halloween weekend. This was my first Con as a member of artist alley and it was a lot of fun. Good times with some new friends. Made a few contacts.

I was pretty unprepared. I had the banner but totally forgot the business cards as well as some sort of give away thing. Everyone likes free crap. The Transformers pieces I brought from the Gnomon show were a hit. Might toss Optimus on a give away post card for the next show. I believe its the Wonder-Con in Anaheim sometime in the spring.

This is the illustration I did for the con. I was watching Buffy when I painted it. Sold a couple of these as well as the Jedi piece but the prints weren't the best. Think I might invest in a nice 16x24 Epson.

I had fun painting a werewoof. Might try my hand at all the classic monsters...perhaps make old pulp movie posters out of them.
